A design plate in Architectural Communications III which aimed to exercise our model-making skills. Given a topography map, we were asked to design our personal creative space.
Very geometric and modern in style, my creative space design is a small single storey structure raised on stilts to conform to the land's topography.
The landscaping was made to conform the natural topography of the land rather than altering it. A series of stairs were designed with vertical gardens for easy access at the open space at the back.
Given a small area of land, there is not enough space to put up a garden/outdoor relaxation space which lead to the design of this roof garden accessible from the inside of the house.
The depression is then developed into a small pond where a free falling water feature leads to.
THE INTERIOR
The space includes a working space facing the huge window, an interaction space for the guests, a kitchenette and a small toilet and bath. No wall separate the these areas except for the Toilet and bath.
The living room/space for entertaining guests.
